what i had understand through home ecs.

what i had learnt most is that cooking is actually quite easy,
IF YOU MASTER THE BASICS.
however baking is the hardest to me of all.
i cannot even do a cookie by myself.
even when i had trialed it with my mom.
i realised that everytime i beat the batter
every thing in it will just fly out of the batter.
i have also learn that i cannot hold the beater too high from the bowl,
or else everything will aso fly out...
therefore, i have learnt many things through home econs like,
to tolerate how long i have to wait while the cookie is baking,
the observation skills i have to make while weighing the ingredients.
and many more.
i love home econs.
haha.

finally it was time for the practical.
i've decided on...
THE POPIAH PIZZA :D!
i thought that it was easy and simple.
and i also think that it was rather unique as...
usually popiahs and pizzas have a super duper
MAJOR DIFFERENT in TASTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was suggested by miss aishah that i need to improve on my food to make it HEALTHIER
therefore, she asked me to add corn.
BUT I FORGOT TO BRING.
so i revert the meat from sausages to ham :D,
because it was HEALTHIER.
THEN....
it was time to try out RECIPE 2.
it was a horrible terrible vegetable disaster.
because i only tried it once with the aid of my mom.
and i have never done cookies in my lifeeeeee.
so it was screwed up!
and i actually poured in entire cocoa poweder in..
it tasted like cake but it looked like..
COW DUNG.

it was horrendous.
therefore i didnt take any pictures!
The next time i did THE POPIAH PIZZA,
i modified it by using sausages and
modifying the shapes of the popiah skins into personalised ones.
such as cuting the skins into different shapes and sizes..
like P, Q, A, HEARTS, DIAMONDS, TRIANGLES, and many more.
but after ms aishah saw my dish.
she said that sausages are very salty
so i've decided that if i ever did this dish again i will use ham.

HOME ECONS.

I have decided to try out two different recipes,
my first recipe that i did was
THE POPIAH PIZZA. :D
(2 servings)
its ingredients are
- 3 slices of KRAFT cheese
- 20 popiah skins
- 2 pieces of ham
- and 1 bottle tomato ketchup
this was a recipe that i learnt from home econs in secondary 1
it is also found in the kc recipe book.
i found it suitable for a cafe during tea,
so i decided to use it.
steps to do THE POPIAH PIZZA!
- first lay 20 popiah skins onto 3 baking trays.
- then spread tomato ketchup on top of it
- slice the ham and cheese
- spread the ham evenly onto every popiah skin
- do it likewise for the cheese
- bake it in the oven at a temperature of 180 degree Celcius for 10 minutes until
you see the cheese melt.
- take it out and allow it to cool for 2 minutes.
TADAH you have ..
THE POPIAH PIZZAAAAAAAAA.
